Emergency Services

OnStar can help save lives. We’re here to help whenever you need it1 – even if you can’t ask for it. And that’s good to know in an emergency.

Automatic Crash Response

If you have a crash, in-built sensors automatically connect you to an OnStar Advisor, who’ll pinpoint your location even if you don’t know yourself and check if you’re okay. If you don’t reply, the Advisor will contact emergency services2 immediately and stay on the line with you until help arrives.

SOS red button

One push of the SOS Red Button connects you straight to an OnStar Advisor, who’ll contact emergency services if you, your passengers or someone else on the road needs help. And your Advisor will stay on the line with you until help arrives.

Roadside Assistance

If you run out of petrol, get a flat tyre or have a breakdown, we can help3. Simply push the blue OnStar Button and talk to an Advisor, who’ll identify your location and send help to get you moving again.

Your Emergency Contact details

If you have an accident, we can call the person you chose as your emergency contact. Please go to your account to check all your contact details are up-to-date.

SAFETY AND SECURITY SERVICES

We can help if your car is stolen using Stolen Vehicle Assistance.

STOLEN VEHICLE ASSISTANCE

If your car is stolen, report it to the police and get a crime reference number. Then call us and we can help recover it safely. If a thief switches off the engine, we can stop it from being re-started. And if you opted in to receive them, we’ll send you an SMS or email Theft Alert1 if we think your car has been stolen.

OnStar’s 4G Wi-Fi gives you and your passengers a strong and reliable connection so you can all enjoy entertainment on-the-go.

You can connect up to seven devices with Wi-Fi1, so everyone in the car can do their own thing. You can stream music, enjoy audiobooks and listen to podcasts while you drive. Your passengers can also watch TV and films, check emails, play games or use their favourite apps.

Simply choose a Wi-Fi data package1 that’s right for you – a day, a month or a year – and get connected in three simple steps.

MY VEHICLE SERVICES

You can give your car a health check with OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics. And if you’re not sure where you parked, our Find My Vehicle service will help.

VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS

Before you start your journey, it’s a good idea to make sure your car is road ready. With OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics, you can check oil and fluid levels, brakes, electrics, tyre pressures and other key systems so you can relax when you drive.

You can ask an Advisor for a Diagnostics check at any time, simply by pressing the blue OnStar Button. And we’ll send you a monthly report so you’re always up-to-date. We’ll even contact you if our Advanced Vehicle Diagnostics pick up a change in your car’s condition. That way, you can get it looked at right away.

FIND MY VEHICLE

The Find My Vehicle function on our app helps you locate your car. Which is handy if you parked in a hurry and can’t remember where. And if you accidentally lock your keys in your car, you can use the app to unlock it.

All OnStar services and Wi-Fi services will cease to be available on 31st December 2020.

No trial or paid subscriptions or services, including emergency response services, will be available after that date.
